The Story

Emerald Finance Limited — a BSE-listed Non-Banking Financial Company based in Chandigarh — had a powerful vision: to eliminate the financial stress that millions of salaried employees face between paydays. With a majority of the Indian workforce reporting personal finance as their biggest source of stress, Emerald wanted to build a platform that put employees in control of their own earned money — instantly, securely, and without interest.

DotCom Inventions was brought in to design and develop the complete Emerald EWA mobile application — a fintech-grade, employee-centric platform that integrates directly with employer payroll systems, allowing employees of partnered companies to withdraw a portion of their earned salary at any time of day or night, with instant credit to their bank account.

What Did DCI Do

DCI delivered a complete end-to-end fintech mobile application for Emerald Finance — from UX design to production-ready development — built to meet the compliance, security, and performance standards expected of a BSE-listed NBFC.

React Native Mobile App Development We built a high-performance React Native mobile application for Android — fast, secure, and intuitive — designed for salaried employees of Emerald's partner companies. The app was engineered to make financial access effortless while maintaining full NBFC regulatory compliance at every step.

Employee Registration & KYC Onboarding We designed a streamlined onboarding flow where employees register via their company-linked profile, complete digital KYC verification, and receive instant access to their assigned credit limit — the entire process designed to be simple, quick, and fully compliant.

Salary-Based Credit Limit Engine The heart of the app — each employee receives a pre-approved credit limit of up to 50% of their monthly salary, automatically calculated based on their salary data synced from the employer's payroll system. The limit is dynamic, reviewed periodically, and increases as the employee continues transacting responsibly — rewarding financial discipline.

Instant Fund Drawdown — Anytime, Anywhere Employees can draw any amount within their available credit limit — 24/7, including weekends and public holidays — with funds instantly credited to their linked bank account. A transparent convenience fee is shown before every transaction, with no hidden charges and no interest.

Automatic Repayment on Payday Repayment is completely automated — the drawn amount is deducted directly from the employee's salary on payday by the employer, with zero manual effort from the employee. This also ensures timely repayment which positively impacts the employee's CIBIL credit score over time.
